Teeth Whitening

At Revive and Glow Wellness, we offer advanced teeth whitening services designed to brighten your smile safely and effectively.
Our teeth whitening system is simple & effective. The teeth whitening system works with a combination of LED light and a specially formulated gel.

Why combine peroxide with blue LED light?
The cool, blue LED light is used to dehydrate teeth, opening up microscopic tubules/pores in the enamel. By opening up the pores the gel is able to sink in and lift stains quickly and efficiently. In simpler terms, the combination of the light and gel will enhance the natural white in your teeth to diminish staining.

Speed and Efficacy**: Light activation can accelerate the whitening chemical reaction, often allowing for shorter chair time and more noticeable whitening.

Enhanced Stain Removal**: Peroxide-based gels target a broad range of stains, including coffee, tea, wine, and tobacco.

Controlled Treatment**: Our clinicians monitor the process to minimize sensitivity and ensure even results.
The gel is specifically formulated for chair side treatment and is the perfect blend of carbamide and hydrogen peroxide. This combination produces results equivalent to 16% peroxide, providing faster, stronger results with little to NO sensitivity! In addition, it is safe on bonds, crowns, veneers and implants.

This is a custom teeth whitening experience. The gel is applied to each tooth individually and the gums are protected with vitamin E. This means you are able to achieve the best results without causing sensitivity!

This custom, pain free process, gives you a 2-16 shades brighter smile that can last up to 6 months (depending on teeth structure, hygiene and oral habits.) Sessions are typically 45 minutes but can be as long as 75 minutes.

Little to absolutely no sensitivity guaranteed!

Safety and sensitivity considerations
Enamel safety**: When performed by trained professionals, whitening with peroxide products is considered safe for most adults.
Sensitivity management**: Some patients experience temporary tooth or gum sensitivity. We offer desensitizing options and adjust treatment parameters to minimize discomfort.
Contraindications**: Pregnant or nursing individuals, people with certain dental restorations (e.g., some veneers or crowns) or specific enamel conditions should consult our team first.
Contraindications
Before undergoing whitening, please disclose and discuss the following conditions with our clinicians. Whitening may be contraindicated or require special considerations in these cases:
- Pregnant or nursing individuals
- Severe or untreated dental decay (cavities) or active gum disease (gingivitis, periodontitis)
- Known allergy or sensitivity to hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide, or other gel components
- Very worn or distressed enamel or exposed dentin
- History of chemical burns or mucosal lesions in the mouth
- Use of certain medications that increase photosensitivity (e.g., some antibiotics like tetracyclines in the past, or other photosensitizing drugs). Always disclose current medications
- Presence of composite or porcelains, extensive tooth bonding, or certain restorations not recommended for whitening or that may not respond evenly
- History of unusual reactions to light therapy or photosensitive skin conditions
- Active orthodontic appliances (braces) in place that would hinder even gel application and light exposure
- Recent dental procedures (e.g., deep cleaning, whitening within a short window after resin-based restorations) unless approved by the clinician
- Children or adolescents with developing dentition (age restrictions apply)
- Uncontrolled systemic conditions or poor overall health as advised by your healthcare provider
If any of the above apply, our clinicians will help determine whether a modified approach, alternative cosmetic dentistry options, or a postponement is appropriate.
Results and maintenance
Expected outcomes**: Many patients notice a noticeable whitening effect after a single session, with optimal results after a full course as recommended by our clinicians.
Longevity**: Results depend on diet, lifestyle, and oral hygiene. Reducing staining beverages (coffee, red wine) and avoiding tobacco can extend results.
Maintenance options**: We offer touch-up appointments as needed.
Frequently asked questions
Is whitening safe for all tooth types?**
Most adults with healthy teeth and gums are candidates. We evaluate each patient to determine suitability.
Will whitening affect fillings or crowns?**
Whitening agents do not change the color of existing restorations. If you have restorations, a blended color match may be recommended after whitening.
How long do results last?**
It varies, but many patients enjoy months of brighter color. Periodic touch-ups may be recommended.
Can whitening cause tooth sensitivity?**
Temporary sensitivity is possible but is rare and usually resolves within a short period. We tailor treatments to minimize discomfort.
